Studs

You never want to get into the changing room before a match and find that one of your studs is missing and no one has a spare! Make sure you have some in your kitbag ready for that eventuality!

And when you do need to replace a stud, don’t forget a stud key!

Sports tape

If you are anything like me, then you need a mountain of strapping to hold yourself together during a match! Wrists, arms, knees… the whole lot needs to be taped together in order to get through 80 minutes. So, definitely have a range of strappings in your kitbag to help you be ready for rugby!

Here are a few that we recommend…

Gumshield

One of the most essential items for your rugby kitbag is your gumshield. The OPRO Instant Custom-Fit mouthguard is, and has been for a while now, my preference when it comes to protecting my mouth!

Other Essentials

It wouldn’t be a rugby club changing room if there wasn’t the smell of Tiger Balm & Deep Heat wafting around! Both are good for temporary relief from muscular aches and pains!

And finally… no kitbag should be without some sweets!! My kitbag is always well stocked with Jelly Babies!!
