Swindon College Old Boys RFC (or SCOB as it’s known locally), is a true amateur grassroots rugby club which was originally founded in 1961 as Swindon College RFC by Malcolm Lewis, a lecturer in television servicing from Swindon College.

Today, the club has never been stronger, SCOB run two successful and popular Men’s sides, the 1st XV finished last season with SCOBs highest ever league position: 6th in the RFUs Southern Counties South (Level 7) league. Despite this success, the clubs ambition doesn’t stop there. The club have built a coaching setup which is the envy of every club in the local area, pushing players to be the best they can be, using modern coaching techniques and technology such as video analysis and GPS tracking.

The club as a whole always welcomes new players of all standards, from players who have never picked up a rugby ball before to those players who feel they need a change of environment or club. We are confident we have the facilities and coaching setup to help everyone reach their full potential.
