Fill Your Boots Announces Landmark Partnership with North Midlands RFU

Fill Your Boots (FYB), the growing digital platform dedicated to connecting grassroots rugby clubs, players and volunteers, is proud to announce a new partnership with North Midlands RFU. The agreement marks a major milestone for FYB, with North Midlands becoming the first RFU Constituent Body (CB) to formally partner with the platform.

The partnership represents a shared commitment to strengthening grassroots rugby by helping clubs find players, arrange fixtures, and build stronger connections across the rugby community.

Through the collaboration, clubs within the North Midlands region will be encouraged to use Fill Your Boots as a tool to support match fulfilment, recruitment, and communication across the local rugby network.

Sean Phelan, Founder of Fill Your Boots, welcomed the partnership as a significant step forward for the platform and for grassroots rugby more broadly.

“I created Fill Your Boots to solve real problems faced by grassroots clubs — from finding players on a Saturday morning to helping people stay connected to the game they love. To have North Midlands RFU become the first Constituent Body to partner with us is a huge milestone. It shows that the rugby community is ready to embrace new ways to support clubs, players and volunteers. We’re excited to work together to strengthen rugby across the region and make it easier for clubs to keep the game going week in, week out.”

Mike Dempsey-Mitchell, North Midlands RFU’s Chair of Club Support & Development said:

“We are extremely happy to be working with Fill You Boots. Our role as a Constituent Body is to support our member clubs and grow the game through Local Rugby Planning. Grassroots Rugby Clubs face many difficulties today in trying to deliver Rugby matches week in and week out. FYB provides a proven platform for clubs and players to connect with each other, share experiences and grow through an accessible network.”

The partnership signals a positive step toward modernising the way grassroots rugby clubs operate, giving them practical tools to overcome challenges such as player availability, fixture fulfilment, and volunteer recruitment.

As Fill Your Boots continues to grow across the rugby community, collaborations with organisations like North Midlands RFU demonstrate the increasing recognition of digital platforms in supporting the sustainability and future of grassroots sport.
